Information Technology Solution Consultant (Alliance & Profits Share)

Job Overview:

White Horse Distribution is seeking a highly experienced and strategic Information Technology Sales Consultant to join our team in a unique and rewarding alliance-based partnership. This role is designed for individuals with extensive experience in IT solutions sales, focused on understanding and solving complex business problems with cost-effective, tailored solutions. As a consultant, you will not only sell IT solutions but become a trusted advisor to businesses, guiding them through their IT challenges and helping them transform their technology landscape for success.

This is a commission-based, profit-sharing opportunity rather than a traditional salaried sales role. You will operate remotely, leveraging your own time management, strategies, and network to identify opportunities, engage with customers, and secure deals. White Horse Distribution will handle the implementation and execution of the projects once the sale is closed, ensuring that the technical solutions are delivered with excellence.


Key Responsibilities:

  1. Customer Consultation & Problem Solving:
    • Engage with clients to fully understand their business challenges, goals, and current technology landscape.
    • Apply deep industry knowledge to assess customer needs, identifying key pain points and proposing the most effective IT solutions that drive business transformation.
    • Use strategic thinking to match customers with the right products, services, and technologies, providing tailored, cost-effective recommendations that solve business problems.
  2. Solution Design & Customization:
    • Leverage your vast knowledge of IT infrastructure, cloud solutions, software, cybersecurity, and other technology areas to design solutions that meet the specific needs of each customer.
    • Focus on cost-efficiency and scalability, ensuring that the solutions proposed not only meet immediate requirements but also align with the customer’s long-term business strategy.
    • Collaborate with White Horse Distribution’s technical teams for in-depth solution development and to ensure that all solutions proposed can be successfully implemented.
  3. Client Relationship Management & Trust Building:
    • Establish and maintain strong, trusted relationships with clients, positioning yourself as their go-to IT advisor.
    • Provide consistent support and guidance to customers throughout their journey, ensuring that they see the value of their IT solutions and continue to rely on you for future needs.
    • Regularly follow up with clients to ensure they are fully satisfied with their solutions, maintaining an ongoing advisory role even after sales have been completed.
  4. Sales Strategy & Execution:
    • Develop and execute your own sales strategy to identify and pursue new opportunities, focusing on building a pipeline of qualified leads in need of IT solutions.
    • Apply your expertise to drive sales in various IT domains, including infrastructure, cloud computing, cybersecurity, AI solutions, and more, with a focus on long-term client success and sustainable, cost-effective solutions.
    • Work independently to manage and close deals, from initial contact to final sale, while maintaining a consultative and solution-driven approach.
  5. Collaboration with White Horse Distribution:
    • Act as the liaison between clients and White Horse Distribution, ensuring that all sales engagements are seamlessly handed off for technical execution and project management.
    • Leverage White Horse’s resources and expertise to ensure the successful implementation of proposed solutions, while maintaining a close relationship with customers to ensure their needs are continually met.
    • Ensure clear communication with internal teams to ensure that customer expectations are met and solutions are executed to the highest standard.
  6. Market Insight & Thought Leadership:
    • Stay current with emerging technologies, market trends, and industry challenges to maintain your position as a knowledgeable IT advisor.
    • Share insights with customers, guiding them through technological advances and helping them make informed decisions about future IT investments.
    • Contribute to the continuous improvement of White Horse Distribution’s offerings by providing feedback on market needs and client requirements.

Qualifications:

  • Extensive Experience in IT Solutions Sales: A minimum of 7-10 years in IT solutions sales or consulting, with a proven track record of solving business problems through technology.
  • Deep Knowledge of IT Infrastructure & Solutions: Strong understanding of IT solutions, including cloud technologies, cybersecurity, AI, data centers, IT hardware, software, networking, and emerging technologies.
  • Problem-Solving Expertise: Ability to quickly understand customer business problems and design and propose effective, innovative, and cost-efficient IT solutions.
  • Sales Strategy & Execution: Proven success in generating leads, managing sales cycles, and closing deals with a solution-focused approach, not just a traditional sales mentality.
  • Customer-Focused Mindset: A consultative approach to building and maintaining relationships, ensuring clients view you as a trusted IT advisor who understands their business needs.
  • Excellent Communication & Negotiation Skills: Ability to effectively communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders and lead negotiations to close sales.
  • Self-Motivation & Independence: Strong self-starter with the ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and execute a successful sales strategy.
  • Commission-Based Motivation: This role operates on a profit-sharing and commission structure, rewarding success based on sales performance.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Advanced Certifications in IT solutions (e.g., AWS, Microsoft Azure, Cisco, CompTIA Security+, or other relevant certifications).
  • Experience in a Partner Ecosystem: Familiarity with alliance partnerships or channel sales models, especially in the IT solutions space.
  • Industry Experience in specific sectors, such as healthcare, finance, or manufacturing, is a plus.
